How digital downloads work

Please note: all posters listed on the website are digital downloads. No physical poster will be shipped and the frame is not included. All poster purchases are personal use only (no resale).

You will receive different files of the same artwork compressed in a .zip file. Once you buy a digital download (a printable), your file(s) will be emailed to you with a downloadable link within a few minutes. Check your spam mail folder if you haven’t seen it in your Inbox.

 Handling .ZIP file:

A .zip file is a collection of one or more files, compressed into a single file for easy transportation and compression. All our products come in different aspect ratios so we compress them into a single .zip file. To open the .zip file and have access to your printables, double-click on it and let your computer show you the folders and files contained inside. In most operating systems, including Windows and Mac OS, ZIP files are handled internally, without the need for any extra software. If you do however need an archive manager software or application, a lot of free ones are available, such as WinRAR or iZIP.

Please note that colours may vary slightly due to colours represented differently on different computer screens.

Aspect ratio:

Aspect ratio is the proportional relationship between the width and height of an image. As an example, if you want your printable to measure 24x36in, you need to use the 2x3 aspect ratio file. Or, if you want your printable fit a 50x70cm frame, you would choose the 5x7 aspect ratio file.
To make it easy for you, all our printables come in aspect ratios that match the most popular standard frame sizes:

Resolution and DPI:

DPI stands for the number of dots in a  printed inch, it is used to determine an image resolution. Basically, the more dots the higher the quality of the print - the more sharpness and details. 300dpi is the optimal size for a clear and crisp picture. All our products are 300 DPI.

Where to print:

At home or at Costco, Walgreens, Vista Print, FedEx Kinkos, Staples, Walmart.

How to choose right paper for the printables:

For best results, we recommend choosing a thick and heavy cardstock paper, with a minimum weight of 230gsm. Printing on a heavy paper is preferred as it will give your print rigidity, preventing curling and warping. Also we recommend a matte finishing, especially for artworks and typography prints, since shiny photo paper will reflect light.

How to choose right ink for the printables:

For gallery quality printables, it is best to use pigment-based inks as they last much longer than dye inks. The pigments are made of extremely small particles which sit on the paper and bond with the fibres. They are also waterproof and chemical free.

Where to buy a frame:

Michaels, Winners, Hobby Lobby, Target, Amazon, Ikea.
